Enhancements:
- Item Category Hierarchy: Introduced two additional hierarchy levels to Item Categories, enabling drill-down and analysis up to five levels deep. These enhancements have been applied across the Sales, Purchasing, Inventory, Service, and Manufacturing apps.
- AI-Ready Data: Enhanced and optimized the semantic models to better support Power BI Copilot. By providing richer context within the model, Copilot can more accurately interpret and return high-quality results.
Breaking Changes:
- Sales and Purchasing Insights: The introduction of new "Total Sales" and "Total Purchases" reports required the removal of some legacy tables, particularly those related to G/L Accounts and Resources.
Deleted Tables in Sales Insights: Posted Sales G/L Account Line, G/L Account Sales Field Parameter, G/L Account Sales Measure Parameter, Resource Sales Field Parameter, Resource Sales Measure Parameter.
Renamed Field: 'Value Entry Date Filter' → 'Sales Date Filter'.

Sales Insights:
- Added new "Total Sales" reports that combine posted and outstanding sales data at the document line level (including Items, Resources, G/L Accounts, and other line types). Learn more here.
- Introduced a new "Budget Variance Calculation" filter with two options: "Only where budget exists" and "Treat missing budget as zero". This enables variance analysis even when no budget is defined.
- Added fields: 'Journal Batch Name' to the Customer Ledger Entries table; 'Assigned User ID' to the Sales Header table.
Purchasing Insights:
- Added new "Total Purchases" reports that combine posted and outstanding purchase data at the document line level.
- Introduced a Date Filter for Item Purchases reports, allowing users to analyze invoiced item data by Posting Date (default), Order Date, or Valuation Date.
- New Report: "Standard Cost Variance". This report displays items using the Standard Costing method, including actual cost, standard cost, variance, and variance percentage, helping identify cost deviations and improve cost control.
Inventory Insights:
- New Report: "Order Fulfillment". Displays outstanding sales order quantities alongside available inventory per product.
- Inventory Aging Report Enhancements: Added aging groups: "121–180 days" and "181–365 days"; Included additional measures: Cost Amount (Expected) and Cost Amount (Invd. & Expd.).
- Added 'Overflow Level' field to the Item table.
- Added 'Inventory Consumption Turnover (Value)' metric to the Days of Inventory Consumption report
- Table Extensions: Added two text fields to the Stockkeeping Unit table. More info here.
Finance Insights:
- New Report: "Trial Balance". A foundational accounting report summarizing all G/L accounts with their debit, credit, and net balances over a selected period. Useful for validating that debits equal credits and ensuring the books are balanced.
- Added 'Journal Batch Name' field to the G/L Entries table.
Accounts Receivable Insights:
- Table Extensions: Added 8 text fields and 2 decimal fields to the Sales Invoice Header and Sales Credit Memo Header tables.
- Added the ability to calculate AR aging based on Document Date instead of Due Date. A new setup option, 'Use Document Date Instead of Due Date', is available in Insights Setup within the Power BI Insights Connector app.
Manufacturing Insights
- Added 'Cost Variance Type' field to the Value Entry table; 'Assigned User ID' field to the Production Order table.
