Please ensure the following prerequisites are met before upgrading your Power BI apps:

Select 'Update only workspace content without updating the app' and click Install.
We recommend this option because it updates the reports and semantic model while keeping the existing workspace name unchanged. This is particularly important if you have custom reports or other Power BI solutions connected to semantic models in the workspace.
Selecting 'Update the workspace and the app' may rename the workspace by adding an updated date and time suffix to the end of the workspace name. This can affect custom reports or other solutions that depend on the existing workspace or its semantic models.
For this reason, we recommend updating the workspace content first.

Once the app is installed, the data refresh will begin automatically.
Update the Power BI App, if applicable
If you share content with users through a Power BI App, you will need to update the app separately after the workspace update is complete.
Open the workspace and select Update app in the top-right corner.
Select the Permissions tab and tick Install this app automatically so that the app will be installed for the selected users.
Review the app content and select Update app in the bottom right corner to publish the updated content to your users.
